If you’ve been around a computer in the past week or so, you’ve no doubt heard about the many changes going on at DC Comics. First, it was announced that the parts of DC Entertainment dealing with multi-media and digital output would be relocating to California with the comics end staying in New York. This was shortly followed by the announcement that WildStorm and Zuda would cease publication. All of this, understandably, has led to stories of people being relocated or losing their jobs. And then just yesterday, former Marvel Editor-In-Chief Bob Harras was named as DC’s new Editor-In-Chief. It’s been a busy couple of weeks at DC to say the least.
So we want to know, what’s your take on all of this? Is this good news? Bad news? Do you think as a reader you’ll notice that things have changed? Post your comments below and let us know what you think.
Update: Since this was posted yesterday, the news broke that three editors at Vertigo – Joan Hilty, Pornsak Pichetshote and Jonathan Vankin – have been laid off.
