We do NOT mark up the digital offerings available at comiXology but we do receive a percentage of sales – but ONLY if customers purchase through our storefront. The comics industry is changing rapidly, and there are now many different tools for distributing and downloading comics. Know that we are actively pursuing solutions to deliver a broader range of digital titles from other publishers and, in the meantime, hope you both enjoy the titles available through comiXology, and purchase them through the Westfield storefront.

Westfield's digital offerings are handled through comiXology, a company that is the exclusive provider of DC digital comics along with many other publishers. But by creating this new account, comiXology keeps a record of your digital comics collection – this makes it easy for you to transfer your collection to a new compatible device (see below), without having to go to the trouble of re-purchasing items. We hope to have a more seamless integration with the existing Westfield web site in the future.
When you purchase a digital comic through Westfield, it is placed in a "My Comics" section in the top menu bar of the comiXology window or app. When you go to "My Comics", all your purchases are shown in alphabetical order by title. Simply click on the title and it launches the comiXology reader which provides further instructions. There are many viewing options with the comiXology reader and it’s all quite intuitive.
No, in addition to viewing these on your computer via the comiXology interface, the comiXology platform also has apps available for iOS-driven (iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch) and Android-driven mobile devices. You can read all of your purchased digital comics after logging in on these devices.
We feel comics are about the stories, the characters, the art and many other intangibles too lengthy to detail here. They are not about paper. In terms of helping to cause the demise of local comic chops, it is our hope (because we also have local retail shops!) that digital comics prove to be a vehicle that moves more comics stories into the minds of more readers, thus exposing the wonder of comics to a whole new generation and perhaps driving people into those local shops to pick up hard copies of their favorite digital comics for bookshelving and to see additional related product.
